When there’s nothing in place, you build everything — in the right order. The goal wasn’t just to get emails going. It was to build a complete owned-channel revenue engine that would compound over time and reduce dependence on paid traffic.

We started with the foundation. Klaviyo and SMS were configured from scratch — tracking, attribution, list hygiene, and a reporting structure so performance was measurable from day one.

List growth came next. Signup forms were redesigned with proper incentives and segmentation questions built in, so the list grew in both volume and quality. New subscribers weren’t just names — they came in pre-segmented and ready for relevant follow-up.

Then the full flow suite was built. Welcome series, browse abandonment, cart and checkout abandonment, post-purchase, winback, and VIP loyalty touchpoints — every stage of the customer journey automated and optimized to convert and retain.

Finally, the campaign engine. A consistent calendar was established with defined content pillars — new drops, bestsellers, UGC, style guidance, education, and social proof — so campaigns went out on a reliable rhythm rather than whenever someone remembered to send something.

The shift from blanket discounting to a segmented revenue engine changed how the entire email and SMS channel performed. Retail shoppers started converting on guidance and product confidence rather than waiting for a sale. Makeup artists responded to pro-specific messaging with larger, more consistent orders. And because the two audiences were finally being spoken to differently, the messaging landed harder for both — without either group feeling like they were getting the wrong email.
